Trade Kings Foundation Constructs New Classrooms at Chikuwe Primary School in Kasenengwa

Kasenengwa – Trade Kings Foundation has officially handed over a new classroom block to Chikuwe Primary School in Kasenengwa, a development aimed at improving learning facilities and increasing school retention, particularly for the girl child.

The 3-by-1 classroom block was handed over in a ceremony witnessed by Bridget Kambobe, Group Public Relations Manager for Trade Kings Foundation, who praised the project for its potential to support children’s education.

“This project is excellent as it helps keep children in school, particularly the girl child, and provides an environment conducive to learning,” Ms. Kambobe said.

In his address, Dr. Lewis Mwape, Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, confirmed that Chikuwe Primary School will be upgraded to serve as an examination centre for the district. Starting next year, the school will host classes for Grades 5, 6, and 7, allowing local children to access examinations without having to travel long distances.

Dr. Mwape acknowledged that the community previously lacked proper educational infrastructure but noted that the new classroom block is a transformative step forward. He encouraged Trade Kings Foundation and other stakeholders to continue supporting initiatives that expand educational opportunities in underserved areas.

The project reflects Trade Kings Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving educational outcomes in Zambia by providing critical infrastructure, fostering learning, and promoting equity in access to schooling.
