Lusaka, Zambia – Dot Com Zambia PLC is entering a new phase of its corporate journey as it prepares for a future Initial Public Offering (IPO), with CEO Mr. Mawano Kambeu set to take the stage to share “The Dot Com Zambia Story and The Road to IPO.”
Mr. Kambeu, known for pioneering one of Zambia’s most recognizable digital service and logistics brands, said the transition toward an IPO represents a defining milestone for the company. He emphasized that listing on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) requires operating like a public company long before shares are offered.
“Doing an IPO is like becoming a public company where you must convince people to give you money,” Mr. Kambeu explained. He added that transparency, strong governance, and operational discipline are central to building investor trust as the organisation moves toward public listing.
In a major leadership development aligned with its pre-IPO strengthening, Dot Com Zambia PLC has appointed Ms. Chilufya Kangwa as Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO), effective 17 November 2025.
Ms. Kangwa is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), and a certified Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA). She brings over 10 years of senior experience across finance, governance, and operations.
As CFOO, she will oversee the company’s daily operations, ensuring financial discipline and operational excellence while aligning the organisation’s internal systems with the standards required of a publicly listed entity.
Dot Com Zambia PLC said Ms. Kangwa’s appointment reinforces its commitment to strong leadership as the company advances toward its next chapter of growth—including its anticipated listing on LuSE.
