Lusaka — Last week, the Ministry of Technology and Science, led by Hon. Felix Chipota Mutati, officiated a partnership signing ceremony between the MTN Zambia Foundation and the Zambia National STEM Foundation (ZNSF) at the MTN Zambia Head Office in Lusaka.
The collaboration marked the launch of the MTN x ZNSF Skills Academy Challenge, a pilot program that targeted 15 schools and over 1,500 learners, providing free digital skills training, mentorship, career guidance, and STEM opportunities.
Minister Felix Mutati commended both organizations for their commitment to advancing STEM education and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to promoting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation among Zambia’s youth.
“This initiative represents a bold step toward shaping a digitally skilled, innovative, and future-ready generation,” the Minister said, emphasizing the importance of equipping learners with competencies needed to thrive in a technology-driven economy.
Through this partnership, MTN Zambia and ZNSF created pathways for learners to access world-class STEM opportunities, fostering talent that will contribute meaningfully to Zambia’s socio-economic development.
