ZACCI Hosts 2025 Renaissance Convention and Impact Awards, Elects New Board for 2026–2027 Term

Lusaka – The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) successfully held the 2025 Renaissance Convention and Impact Awards on 21 November 2025 at the Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka, bringing together senior policymakers, business leaders, and industry stakeholders to celebrate private-sector excellence and chart the next phase of economic transformation.

The event was officiated by Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, who represented President Hakainde Hichilema. In his keynote address, Hon. Mulenga underscored the vital role the private sector plays in accelerating national development, job creation, and investment growth.

He commended ZACCI for its leadership in strengthening the business environment, advancing policy advocacy, and fostering strategic engagement with enterprises across the country.

“The private sector remains the engine of Zambia’s economic growth. ZACCI continues to be a critical partner in promoting competitiveness, supporting enterprise development, and strengthening the country’s investment climate,” Hon. Mulenga said.

Alongside the awards ceremony, ZACCI conducted its Elective Annual General Meeting, during which the Board for the 2026–2027 term was formally elected and affirmed. The new leadership is expected to steer the Chamber through its next phase of strategic priorities, including strengthening member services, expanding regional trade linkages, and deepening policy dialogue.

This year’s AGM the 68th in ZACCI’s history reinforces the Chamber’s commitment to strong governance, institutional continuity, and sustained engagement with Zambia’s private-sector community. The newly elected Board is expected to lead the Chamber in advancing industrial competitiveness and strengthening business advocacy over the next two years.
